We have now published the first pics of our travels to other monasteries during the Kathina season, and we will continue to share more photos in the coming days.
You can see the images of our visits to Bodhisaddha, Buddha Bodhivana, Dhamsuwa and Vimokkharam here (or just click on image above).
Ajahn Moneyyo will travel to Bodhinyanarama Monastery, Wellington, NZ, from 10th to 16th October
The abbot, Ajahn Nandiyo, will visit us in return from 08 to 16 November (he's on the left in the pic above, with a newly ordained Sāmaṇera in the centre).
Ajahn Moneyyo will also meet Tan Saṃvaro, who will visit us for one month 18/11 to 16/12
Ajahn Dhammasiha & Tan Jayadhamma will attend the Kaṭhina Ceremony at Bodhisaddha Monastery, Wilton, Sydney from 17th to 23rd October
Ajahn Sudhīro will represent Dhammagiri at the Robe Offering Ceremony at Bodhipala Monastery, Adelaide, from 23rd to 29th October
Ajahn Dhammasiha & Ajahn Moneyyo will visit Buddha Bodhivana Monastery, Warburton, Melbourne, 30/10 - 03/11
On the way from the airport on Thu 30/10, we will drop in at Vimokkharam Forest Hermitage for a few hours in the afternoon to meet the abbot, Ajahn Hāsapañño. Ajahn Dhammasīha had spent the rains retreats 2005 & 2006 at Vimokkharam, and received his Australian citizenship at the local Shire of Yarra Ranges. However, he hasn't seen the new buildings yet, which were constructed after the fire burned down the main structures in 2011.

Ajahn Moneyyo will stay at Buddha Bodhivana until 06/11
Ajahn Dhammasīha will travel to Dhamsuwa Forest Meditation Centre from Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th November
Dhamsuwa is an overseas branch of the Sri Kalyāṇi Samstava, Sri Lanka's preeminent organisation of Forest Monasteries, where Ajahn Dhammasiha originally ordained. Canadian Bhante Jinaratana, who visited us repeatedly in the last couple of years, has spent this year's vassa at Dhamsuwa
Ven. Angulgamuwe Ariyananda Mahāthera is expected to attend the Dhamsuwa Kaṭhina as well. He is the abbot of Na Uyana Forest Monastery, the largest Forest Monastey in Sri Lanka, and the leading monastery of the Sri Kalyāṇi Samstava. Bhante Ariyananda Thera has been very helpful to Ajahn Dhammasiha during his first years at Nissaraṇa Vana, helping him with his visa, teaching him some Sinhala, and even introducing him to his Upajjhāya, Most Venerable Kadawedduwe Jinavaṃsa Mahāthera. Ajahn Dhammasiha is delighted for the opportunity to personally pay respects to Bhante after a long time.
Na Uyana was in the global news recently due to the tragic accident, when eight monks died in a rail-cable-car failure. We share merits with the departed monks: may they reach their highest aspiration, Nibbāna; and we send blessings to the injured still receiving treatment in hospital for quick and complete recovery: "Adāsi me akāsi me..." "Yathā vārivahā pūrā..."
If you would like to make a contribution to the Sangha Travel Fund for the travel costs of the visiting monks you can find more information here.
