Volunteering at Dhammagiri Generosity Dana Offering of Labour

Ongoing Support

The monastery would not survive without the ongoing volunteer support for various tasks and professional services: gardening, transportation, publishing, recording teachings, administration, IT services, bookkeeping, landscaping, and construction — to list just a few examples.

If you would like to offer your support, or would like to get email updates about our volunteer activities, please contact our Volunteer Coordinators here:

Monthly Working Bees Every 4th Saturday

Every month on the 4th Saturday, we're hosting a working bee to clean up, mow, weed, garden, trim the hedges and thoroughly clean & maintain the Dhamma hall and surrounding areas

We usually start at 7:00 am to avoid the heat. If you drop by, remember to bring a hat, water, work shoes/boots and sunscreen. Additional mowers and whipper-snippers would be useful.

  • You are invited to bring almsfood offering and share in the meal at 10.30 am if you wish.

  • Please note that there will be no Refuge and Precepts session on working bee mornings

It's amazing how much really important stuff can get done at these bees: Many hands make light work, and at the same time it can feel quite a bit of fun as well 😅

Dates for 2026 are as follows, every 4th Saturday of the month:

  • 24 January

  • 28 February

  • 28 March

  • 25 April

  • 23 May

  • 27 June

  • 25 July

  • 22 August

  • 26 September

  • 24 October

If you want to get email updates about our working bees, or you have any questions re working bee or volunteering, please shoot an email to our volunteer coordinators Tan Upālidhammika & Peter here:
